Rob-BOTS! : A 3D mobile Stealth Robbery game


Premise

You are a rookie robot robber that is trying to be a millionaire by robbing houses. Rob and sell valuables to increase your robbing efficiency and be as rich as a robot can be.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Project Manager

- Managed a team of programmers and artist and designed a workflow that effectively uses the development time to its full advantage

- Kept track of each and every individual members work on a weekly basis

- Confront and Discuss any problems regarding a mechanic, personal issues and any issues in general to keep the members on track and taken care of.


  • Lead Game Designer

- Worked on the overall flow of the game starting from the idealization stage then going into the concept stage and bringing it to full production

- Created multiple dialogs to aid the player during the tutorial segment

- Designed the progression and upgrade advancement system of the game

- Designed the mechanics and making it to fit the theme of a Robot robber but also have real life robbery elements to connect the player logically to a real robbery.


  • Level Designer

- Designed 5 levels (including tutorial)

- Each of the level has a theme that is based on the name of the level

- Designed the levels in a way that the further they adventure the more valuable the loot is but also the harder it will be to reach it

- Designed the different traps (Damaging traps, Visual Traps and Sound Traps) as well as locked key card doors


  • AI Designer

- Designed the AI to behave accordingly based on the player action through Visual, Sounds, and the usage of traps like the CCTV

- Designed the patrolling route for each AI in the level and the "after detection" mechanic when the player is lost from their sight


  • User Interface Designer

- Designed all the UI elements in the game

- Created the Flow of the UI elements

- Designed and Provided the UI layout



A little Backstory

This was our 2nd game project as a team and with new teammates, creating a 3D mobile game for the first time in unity. In the end we did manage to create a solid mobile game and even got a spot in comic fiesta again after King Arthur's Return. Similar to the first team game we were given restrictions so we had to work with it.
