Enemy Design for King Arthur's Return

Enemy Design

There are 4 types of enemies present in the game each having their own unique movement and attacks.

  • Normal Warden: A range enemy with fast movement speed that approaches the player and attacks the player in close range

  • Ranged Warden: Equipped with a gun this warden tends to avoid the player and move out of melee range then fire his gun with a fast moving projectile at the player. While he is aiming the range warden can also move his body and gun up or down depending on the player location then fire at that direction after a few seconds of aiming.

  • Bomb Warden: The bomb warden is a flying enemy that uses its baton by twirling it rapidly to fly. They utilize bombs that deals damage in a radius of its explosion by dropping it on the player after a few seconds of tracking.

  • Shield Warden: The shield warden is a slower moving enemy that has a frontal shield that will block all damage till the shield is broken. While holding the shield they are able to do a bash attack that stuns the player for a few seconds. When the shield is broken the shield enemy will be a Normal Warden and behave as a Normal Warden.

All of this 4 enemies tests the players ability to move using the mechanics they have on the ground and even in the air stopping certain opportunity if the player is not paying attention or moving too much till they are out of position.

Boss Design

The boss was the latest edition to the game and is the final person that the player faces to tie in the story of the unknown voice that the player has been hearing and aiding the player the entire time. The boss is our own form of GOD that only posses 2 arms and a Head.

The attacks for the boss is slower and predictable but also have high damage and is able to trap the player if they are not aware. The weak point for the boss its his head that is located at the top where the player has to climb his long arms to reach or wait for the head to do a ground attack then use the catapult ability to interrupt him.

The boss has only 3 attack patterns but does moves more faster as he enters rage mode when he reaches 20% health to change the flow of the battle.
